When there are appropriate levels of trust within an organization, employees believe its decision-making processes and decisions are just and that they are fairly treated and experience just interpersonal interactions at work. Higher levels of organizational trust are supported by a strong corporate culture. Intra-organizational trust is particularly important in diverse work environments, "the development of mutual trust provides one mechanism for enabling employees to work together more effectively."
