An alliance for offshore training

The Beluga Offshore Training Academy is cooperating with the German company Deutsche WindGuard to provide offshore safety and security training courses. The partners signed an agreement to this effect in Bremen in mid-September.rnThe Beluga Offshore Training Academy (Bota), which is currently under construction, will provide offshore safety and security training from early 2011. Courses will take place at the maritime campus in Elsfleth near Bremen (Germany), and will be based on a holistic approach, combining maritime training with a modular programme of safety guidance for offshore industries and the shipping of project and heavylift cargo. The Bremerhaven-based firm Deutsche WindGuard, a leading service provider and consultancy firm for the wind energy industry, and Beluga's training academy will combine their wind energy, offshore and training expertise to provide the skills the industry needs.
