On 29 July 2012 Ralph Del Colle died, aged 57. A noted ecumenist and systematic theologian, he taught for 17 years in the Theology Department at Marquette University, having previously held teaching positions at Barry University and St Anselm College. He published widely in Christology, pneumatology, trinitarian theology and ecumenics, his book Christ and the Spirit: Spirit-Christology in Trinitarian Perspective (1994) quickly establishing itself as an authoritative and eirenic study. He was one of the founding editors of this Journal.
