The questions in the interview are from the IJSTMI Editorial Board. The FAA Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST) roles in the NASA COTS and NASA CRS programs are the same; to license the launch and re-entry of the COTS and CRS private company providers going to the International Space Station (ISS), SpaceX and Orbital Sciences Corporation. The FAA and NASAhave an Interagency "Joint CRS Program Management Plan" that details their interactions with each other and which major NASA COTS and CRS review meetings are beneficial for the FAA to also attend.
