I read the paper by Moosa and Co (200) with considerable interest. The authors assume that the supplier delivers an order quantity in equal batches. However, in the literature, recent studies have shown that it might be more advantageous for the buyer to receive the order quantity in batches of unequal sizes-see Lu (1995), Goyal (995) and Hill (1997, 1999).
