Hybrid Agile Project Management Model for New Product Development in Aerospace

Project Management is a science that has been developed from different industry best practices to ensure a higher rate of success. However, conventional Project Management requires a relatively complete initial definition of outcomes and scope, which can be problematic for New Product Development in Aerospace Research Development. R&D projects are characterized by complex interrelated activities and large uncertainties for which solution path will be taken. Many aerospace organizations follow APQP and Production PPAP elucidated in AS9145. This study explores the HAPM approach by combining the Conventional project management methods and the latest agile development methods to achieve greater results.
