Applying Counterintelligence Tradecraft to Defeat Terrorist Threats

Blake Mobley's Terrorism and Counterintelligence is a straightforward, detailed historical study, presented from a counterintelligence perspective, of the operations of four specific terrorist groups: the Provisional Irish Republican Army; Fatah; al-Qaeda; and the Egyptian Islamic Group. Mobley explains how these terrorist groups used their organizational structure, popular support, and controlled territory to conduct terrorist activities and the counterintelligence benefits and weaknesses resulting from them. He offers important ideas and insights into how governments might apply the lessons learned from the four studies to undermine and defeat current and future terrorist threats.
