Tender launched for a 500 kV transmission line between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan

JSC National Electric Grids of Uzbekistan, the state agency for the transmission of electricity, has announced a tender for the engineering, procurement and construction of a new 500 kV electricity transmission line. The deadline for submission of bids is 17 June 2020. The new transmission line will contribute to Uzbekistan's long-term strategy to improve the efficiency of existing infrastructure, and to have an uninterrupted supply of electricity to retail and business consumers, and positive regional cooperation.
