摘要

In order to clarify the effect of surface roughness on pool boiling heat transfer, the experiments were carried out for the saturated pool boiling of water at atmospheric pressure. The experimental results show that increased surface roughness enhances heat transfer and its effect is magnified as the orientation of a tube changes from the horizontal to the vertical. In addition. it is identified that the increase in the ratio of a tube length to its diameter magnifies the effect of Surface roughness on pool boiling heat transfer.
