Entrepreneurial Neighbourhoods: Towards an Understanding of the Economies of Neighbourhoods and Communities

I found this book an interesting and provoking read. On its own terms, the book sets out to investigate 'the neglected role of community, neighbourhoods and local social network for entrepreneurship' (Chapter 1, p. 1). Put another way, it sets out to explore the intersections (the nexus) between 'place' (through the cipher of 'neighbourhood') and the business of entrepreneurship moving the notion of 'place' beyond simply the location where social networks/capitals are located. This is a relationship that is not well understood and under-researched to date as the authors make clear.
