Design and evaluation of a trust-aware naming service

摘要

TAw is a peer-to-peer architecture that has been designed so as to enable a generic naming service with trust-awareness; this allows any entity in a global computing context to dynamically evaluate the behaviour of the other entities and decide whether, and under which conditions, to engage in interactions with other entities. In this article we describe the TAw architecture and discuss the experimental results that we obtained simulating its reputation management system; within an application level consumer/producer system, it turns out that the TAw architecture can manage reputations in an adaptive, robust, and scalable manner.
