MARKS AND REMY SINGLED OUT BY DFS

New York authorities have said that 13 bankers at BNP PARIBAS had their employment terminated or separated from the bank as a result of the lender's breach of US trade sanctions against Sudan, Iran and Cuba, including the firm's former heads of debt capital markets and structured finance. Christopher Marks and Dominique Remy were both named by the New York State Department of Financial Services as having lost their jobs as a result of BNPP's misdemeanours. Marks was global DCM chief until earlier this year, while Remy headed structured finance globally.
