New york life on Tuesday took advantage of a continuing favourable basis swap and investor appetite for Triple A rated paper, returning to the Swiss market after an absence of eight years with a US FATCA-compliant bond. New York Life Global Funding, rated Aaa/ AA+/AAA, mandated Credit Suisse and UBS to lead a new five-year FA-backed deal. After a very brief investor presounding on Tuesday morning, books opened for a SFr150m May 13 2019 bond with an expected 0.5% coupon at mid-swaps plus 12bp area.
