ECB-induced sovereign conundrum

The manner in which the European Central Bank is executing its €60bn-a-month quantitative easing programme is pushing investors away from government bonds, including peripheral sovereigns, market participants said. Earlier this year many investors shifted holdings to peripheral sovereign bonds, but with value decreasing even there, buyers appear to be moving further afield.
