Oil firm afren has missed an end-of-March deadline to raise US$200m of private placement bonds, forcing it to secure another payment delay on a loan. The company said on Wednesday that it was due to place the senior private placement notes "imminently". Afren is attempting to raise the funds from an ad hoc committee that represents bondholders that own about 42% of the outstanding principal due on the issuer's 2016, 2019 and 2020 notes.
