Credit agricole stormed both sides of the Atlantic on Monday with a dual-tranche Tier 2 deal, netting more than €3bn-equivalent of new capital. "The performance of other recent euro Tier 2 benchmarks paved the way for a landmark execution combining a euro and dollar offering to maximise the size without damaging the performance in secondary markets," said Vincent Hoarau, head of FIG syndicate at Credit Agricole. The €2bn Reg S 12-year bullet was a runaway success, the final book passing €10bn with orders from around 450 accounts.
