A rally in lloyds banking croup shares allowed the UK government to maintain a swift pace of selling as it heads for the exit. The dribble-out programme has now reduced the state's holding to below 7%. According to a stock exchange filing, the government has sold 758.39m shares since its last filing on November 21. The government's stake in Lloyds falls to 6.93%, having peaked at 43%. The holding was reduced by around 15% (from 24.9% to around 9.2%) under the previous trading plan, which was introduced in December 2014.
