The republic of congo has made a skipped payment on its only international bond, according to a statement on EMTA's website. The trade association said it had received confirmation from Euroclear that the payment had been made and that investors were set to receive the funds on last Wednesday. The sovereign was downgraded by both Moody's and Fitch the week before last for failing to make the coupon payment -which was scheduled for June - within the 30-day grace period.
