Aig is looking to sell a debut residential mortgage-backed bond this week, in which the underlying loans were made to some of the best-rated borrowers. The US insurance underwriting giant is offering Triple A rated tranches for public sale, while retaining several lower-rated pieces, according to a pre-sale report from Fitch and an investor who had looked at the trade.
