Nearly nine years after Lehman Brothers filed for bankruptcy, major banks face the prospect of having to overhaul their rescue plans again due to of increasing concerns that global banking regulation is fragmenting. In the wake of Lehman's failure, leaders of the G20 nations set up the FINANCIAL STABILITY BOARD of central bankers and regulators to form rules for global systemically important banks to adhere to so that such a disaster could be averted in the future.
