Caisse Francaise DE Financement Local got its €6bn-€7bn 2017 covered funding programme off to a strong start last week with a well-oversubscribed €1.5bn 10-year, its biggest trade since it was set up in 2013. The issuer joined a stampede of banks selling covereds, with issuance in the single currency reaching €12.75bn by the end of the week, €4.25bn more than in the same period in 2016, according to IFR data (see front of section).
