The ousting of John Cryan as Deutsche Bank's CEO might have been a shock, but the departure of the bank's chief operating officer Kim Hammonds was only a matter of time. Last month, Hammonds called Deutsche the most dysfunctional place she'd ever worked, perhaps a shocking and rebellious revelation at the time, but one that in the light of recent events is now seen merely as a statement of the bleeding obvious. The fact that these comments were made in an internal meeting but were reported anyway merely underscores how apposite they were.
