China's banking regulators are set to impose losses on major creditors of baoshang bank after a government takeover, signalling a dramatic change in how China handles ailing banks. The People's Bank of China said on May 26 that it would cover, along with the banking regulator, all retail deposits in Baoshang as well as corporate deposits and interbank liabilities below Rmb50m (US$7.25m).
