Russian Consumer Agency to Draft Regulation Governing Production, Use of Nanotechnology

Moscow—Russia's consumer protection agency Rospotrebnadzor is seeking input from leading Russian research institutes to draft regulations on the production, use, and circulation ofrnnanotechnology-based products. Rospotrebnadzor is asking nine of Russia's leading research centers, including the State Scientific Center of Biotechnology and Virology (Vektor), to take part in drafting regulations to protect human health and the environment.
