China Plans to Raise Vehicle Fuel Prices To Discourage Driving, Boost Cleaner Grades

Saying vehicle owners should take more responsibility for reducing air pollution and should push localities to improve fuel quality, China's National Development and Reform Commission announced Sept. 23 that it plans to raise prices of China Ⅳ and China Ⅴ quality gasoline and diesel fuels starting soon in cities such as Beijing and continuing through 2017 in other parts of the country.
