Ambitious proposed pipeline projects over the next several years may help make growth plans for Canadian crude oil become realities, especially for oil sands crude. Some of the oil production increases can occur without the big projects, according to analysts and industry representatives, but they say pipelines would be the best way for oil producers to expand supplies to existing markets and-the more important factor-to reach new markets.
