Oxford University Press is well known for the quality of its publications and the broadness of the topics covered, and its International Arbitration Series gathers several monographs specifically dedicated to International Arbitration law and practice, providing more in-depth analysis of aspects that would be unlikely to get sufficient coverage in more generalist works. International mining disputes represent an increasing share of natural resources disputes, but because of the risk inherent to such an industry they are set apart from other natural resources disputes. As a consequence, arbitration of mining disputes has gained momentum, and a work exploring its peculiarities has long been awaited and would fit perfectly in the International Arbitration Series. The book under review provides an appraisal of arbitration in the international mining industry. Authors are authorities in the field, and the book takes after their practical experience.
