Ross Delivers Sidescan/Sub-Bottom System to China's Lianoning Ocean Fisheries Institute

Ross Laboratories has delivered one of its 4900 Series side scan / sub bottom profiler systems to Lianoning Ocean Fisheries Science Research Institute in China. The institute conducts a wide range of studies in marine aquaculture, including fish molecular genetics, a discovery of host defense genes in Japanese scallops, and many other fishery related topics. They will use the Ross system to look at habitat and geological features. The 4900 series is portable system that can be configured for side scan and or sub bottom profiling operation. The topside electronics are housed in two Pelican™ splash proof cases, one housing the transceiver unit, the other the display and system controls. The display is a 12 inch 1000-nit LCD flat panel that is readable in bright sunlight environments.
