The new distillery, funded with a £3.75m lottery grant, will be housed in a disused building in Swansea, alongside a visitors' centre. Construction is expected to start at the end of this year, with a completion date set for 2022. Plans for the distillery, which will add to Penderyn's existing site in South Wales' Brecon Beacons, were first announced last year. The new site will have an annual capacity of up to 100,000 litres, a similar size to the Brecon Beacons distillery.
