Connecting Optical Fiber With High-Speed Wireless Bridge to Extend Reach and Faster Data Transfer

Multi-gigabit of data transmission through wireless communication demands multi-GHz bandwidths. This is only possible with larger frequencies, which are not traditionally used for mobile communications. Multi-GHz wave frequencies (radio frequencies) need approximately around 30 to 300 GHz frequency to transfer data. On the other hand, optical communications, delivers a bandwidth in the range of terahertz (THz). Optical point-to-point links using laser light for communication in between two optical gateways are also already commercially available. However, optical links do not work very efficiently in respect to quality and stability in free spaces. Under adverse atmospheric conditions the quality of the data transfer suffers from this kind of communication. This demand for a wireless communication, which can not only deliver stable connection, but also have the capability to transfer data in long distances.
