摘要

We have studied the phase transitions, texture, adsorptive properties, and photocatalytic activity (PCA) of TiO_2—Al_2O_3 nanocomposites containing 0.5 to 40 wt % Al, prepared through alkaline hydrolysis. The mass of an organic substance adsorbed on the nanocomposites has been shown to correlate with their PCA. Some of the composites exhibit high PCA in the visible spectral region.
