Reading Scientific Services Ltd (RSSL) is the first commercial laboratory in the UK to offer access to an approved test for clients worried about CM linseed. This is in response to recent reports that GM Flax has been discovered in cereal and bakery products in Germany. GM linseed, also known as flax variety FP967 or CDC Triffid is unapproved in the EU. It originates from the Crop Development Centre Canada at the University of Saskatchewan. Canada supplies approximately 70% of the total flax utilised in the EU annually.
