Frutarom to acquire Chr. Hansen's savoury activities for €5.27m

An agreement has been signed for Frutarom Industries Ltd to acquire the savoury activity and assets of Chr. Hansen A/S ('CH') in Germany.rnThe deal has been made in consideration for a cash payment of approximately US$7.3 million (€5.275 million).rnThe move is in line with the rapid growth strategy of Frutarom, based in Haifa, Israel. Sales of CH's savoury activity for the financial year to August 31,2008 totalled about US$7.7m (about €5.6m). In the last nine months, sales of the acquired activity demonstrated growth and reached approximately US$7m (about €5m).
