CO_2nvert challenges into eCO_2nomics

Based on the experience of several decades in CO_2 extraction business NATECO_2 now offers a variety of R&D and consultancy services in the field of high-pressure-technology. For this purpose several flexible CO_2-lines exist on the premises. Global customers from university and industry book these plants testing innovative natural substances or processes at CO_2-atmos- phere. The focuses are the concentration of active ingredients as well as the purification of raw materials for food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical products just by using pure CO_2. After the evaluation of feasibilities, the process is optimised by the engineers of NATECO_2 and the up-scaling to production size is realised. Simultaneously the in-house laboratory develops and implements analytical methods for quality and process control. Like the Managing Director Dr. Andreas Wuzik points out: "It is our specialty to accompany our customers from first lab test to marketability. In that way our consultancy team develops tailor-made solutions and converts challenges into economic processes." One example of many for the R&D works at NATECO_2 is the collaboration with a Swiss institute to gain anti-carcinogenic ingredients out of tree material using supercritical CO_2. Another joint project with the German company AOT is focusing on the generation of organic certified butters or waxes for cosmetic applications from apple peel or mango seeds. Additionally NATECO_2 is a partner in international projects like the D-Factory, whose intention is the sustainable production and application of high-valuable ingredients from algae biomasses.
