Our digestive tract takes care of breaking down of foods we consume into simple compounds. However, western, modern diet poses a huge task for the digestive tract. Industrialized food, which is treated many ways, stored and transported to other side of the globe does not contain many nutrients and natural enzymes, not to mention about bred and GMO manipulated species which are causing problems for loads of people nowadays. Complete digestion of certain proteins can be difficult even for a healthy body. Incomplete digestion of proteins may cause gastrointestinal discomfort Including bloating and irregularity when associated with leaky gut and also neurological disorders, food intolerance, immune system responses like food allergies and even autoimmune diseases. Hypochlorhydria or low gastric acid, a far more universal problem than understood, only makes the digestion process more complicated.
