BioMed Central: Quantifying Research Contribution

Scientific authors might soon see their specific type of hard work reflected in future bibliographic annotations if BioMed Central has anything to do with it. Building on Mozilla's Open Badges infrastructure and CASRAI's (Consortia Advancing Standards in Research Administration Information) CRediT project, BioMed Central has begun issuing Author Contributor-ship Badges for researchers publishing in its open data journal GigaScience.
