Care and Conservation of Manuscripts 11: Proceedings of the Eleventh International Seminar Held at the University of Copenhagen

A reading of the papers represented in this volume evokes the genial but scattered tradition of conservation and materials study. The purpose of this volume is to provide a portrait of the Eleventh Care and Conservation Conference in Copenhagen and to share some of the presentations and discussions from that meeting. The proceedings document the 11 th iteration of a conference born in 1994 as a small but lively forum for discussing new ideas in conservation and material science. Known as a relaxed and friendly seminar for exchanging ideas, this conference has grown over the years to include hundreds of participants from all over the world and retains a largely European flavor. As a representation of the seminar, this volume provides an eclectic mix of papers about current issues in the world of materials care and conservation.
