Cleaner Production perspectives 2: integrating CP into sustainability strategies

摘要

Cleaner production has impacts as a set of tools, a programme and a way of thinking. These impacts can be assessed at various levels. Despite progress made during the past decade, CP issues that still need to be addressed involve government policy, environmental technology, waste reduction, workplace safety, economic development and social consumption. Three environmental objectives on which progress is needed in the next decade are detoxification, dema-terialization and decarbonization. Some longer-range goals for Cleaner Production are also presented.
