Development of Ports, Shipping and Special Economic Zones

I am happy to inaugurate the National Conference on development of Ports, Shipping and Special Economic Zones organised by FICCI. While business Session-I will deal with the theme of performance of Indian Ports and Shipping: Issues and Perspectives, Business Session - II will discuss the strategies for Development of Ports, Shipping and Special Economic Zones. Today, there is an increasing pressure on the Indian ports to adapt their role and functions to a more demanding operational environment than in the past.
