Summers afternoons can be very sultry and humid in Kolkata. But today, there was a sharp shower in the afternoon. The dust had settled, the environment looked clean and by evening, the cool breeze became very pleasant. Ashok felt calm when he boarded a taxi. As the taxi was heading towards the Lake Gardens area of South Kolkata, Ashok was lost in his thoughts. He was going to meet Leena after several years. He was wondering as to what gift he should carry for her. A box of sweets would be ideal. But that seemed too formal. He could also take a box of chocolates for Leena's daughter. But he was not too sure about her age. If she is in her late teens, then the chocolates would look odd. Ashok could not make up his mind and his destination was also approaching fast. It was after reaching Lake Gardens that Ashok got restless. He had almost decided to go empty handed when he noticed the florist at the street corner. He immediately asked the taxi driver to drop him there itself and he got down after paying the fare.
