EDITORIAL

摘要

Indian Railways has taken several initiatives in the year 2018. It has given a firm focus on safety through technological development and speedy/smooth passenger services with improved coaches and trains. It has also enhanced passenger services at stations and onboard and providing improved catering services with quality food. Indian Railways (IR) has been giving immense attention for infrastructural development, green initiatives and preservation of Heritage in Railways. IR provides security through RPF personnel and is rendering yeomen services to the railway travellers and the security helpline number 182 for passengers has been encouraging. All Zonal railways exhibit their role of work and render their contribution within their jurisdiction and thereby together, they bring an allround growth for IR. Production Units have adopted latest technology and also exhibiting their talent and hard work for fulfilling the requirements of IR. Public Sector Undertakings of Railways are contributing to the expectations of this Organisation. The Railway Institutes have been playing a tremendous role in imparting education and training programmes to the railway employees.
