AAMI is developing two special publications—one focused on hemodialysis and the other on information technology—as part of a continued effort to provide AAMI members with the most current and practical educational resources through its Horizons collection. In January, all AAMI members will receive a complimentary copy of the 3rd edition of IT Horizons, which will examine emerging issues and challenges that information technology has brought to the medical technology field. This edition will examine topics such as manag- ing wireless spectrums, assessing bar coding technology, data warehousing, DICOM, and digital imaging.
