Butneach year through the Grants to States program,nIMLS provides approximately six million dollars to the IllinoisnState Library. The funds are used to fulfill the institute’s primaryngoal to “expand services for learning and access to informationnand educational resources in a variety of formats, in all typesnof libraries, for individuals of all ages.” In these hard economicntimes, these funds help enhance our limited local funds tonexpand our efforts and services. The funds help us “do it” better.
