摘要

The optimization of a switched reluctance motor requires 2D magnetic analysis in the whole transversal section for every angular position of the rotor and winding current supply sequence. A boundary-element-finite-element coupling method is used. Stator and rotor iron regions in which saturation effects occur are analyzed with finite elements, while the nonmagnetic areas (air gap, stator, windings) use a boundary-element method. In that way the problem of narrow air-gap mesh is avoided, and the completely disconnected stator-rotor mesh eliminates the need for mesh regeneration when the rotor position is modified.
