Copyright Law in Developed Countries: An Overview

摘要

Due to the new technologies available, use of information from various sources and various formats has become extremely easy. Scientists/researchers are at a loss of what can be used without permission and what needs permission from the copyright owner. It has become imperative that we have proper guidelines as to what can be used without permission and what would need a written permission from the owner of the copyrighted work. This paper will compare the important features of copyright law in developed countries wherein it has become internalized and is part of research community. Each country is trying to cope with the new technological developments viz-a-viz copyright protection.
