Promoting Effective Use of Electronic Resources Using Library Websites by IITs and NITs : A Comparative Study

The publishing industries are increasingly using WWW for providing online information resources. The electronic journal subscription by individuals as well as institutions rather than physical holdings is becoming order of the day. IITs and NITs provide access to databases and electronic journals via the online catalog and the Web to the end-users. This research article describes the experiences and promotional ways adopted in the libraries of IITs and NITs for the effective use of electronic resources using Library web sites.
