Nissan Motor Co. is trying to repossess and recycle 10 battery electric vehicles that it leased to a municipal agency in Pasadena, CA. So far, the effort has been blocked by the agency, with the support of city hall. Angry leaseholders are reported to have blocked a tow truck's access to the vehicles by parking a battery electric Toyota RAV4 across the entrance to the yard where the Nissan Hyper-minis were parked. Nissan says the vehicle leases have expired and that it can no longer support the vehicles in the fleet.
