Training Cum Workshop On Compilation Of Bibliographies In North East Indian Languages With Special Reference To Manipuri Language

Central library, Kolkata, Ministry of Culture, Government of India in collaboration with Department of Library and Information Science organized a 5-day Training cum Workshop on "Compilation of Bibliographies in North East Indian Languages with Special Reference to Manipuri Language" under the North East Development Programme, Ministry of Culture, Govt of India during 12th -16th March, 2007 at Manipur University, Canchipur, Imphal. The Programme was inaugurated by Prof H Nandakumar Sharma, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Manipur University, Prof N Joykumar Singh; Dean, School of Social Sciences presided over the function and presented the presidential address. Then K K Kochukoshy, Librarian, CRL, Kolkata delivered the keynote address. In his speech, he focused on the importance of Compilation of Bibliography and the Delivery of Book Act. Dr K Sobita Devi, Joint Director Arts & Culture, Govt. of Manipur was also present as special Guest. She stressed on Development of Cultural Heritage.
