摘要

Hydrogen sulfide is a hazardous substance and an integral part of the atmospheres in sewer systems. On the one hand, because sulfides are introduced directly into the waste water, on the other hand, because they are almost inevitably generated during the transportation process. Emissions are therefore inevitable, a treatment of exhaust air in many cases as well. The design of the exhaust air treatment plants is usually based on empirical values, mainly because the loads to be treated are not known. The result is then a pass-through of load peaks with corresponding risk potential and/or uneconomical operation of the plants. The goal must therefore be to create a reliable assessment basis which allows the use of modern, technical exhaust air treatment and guarantees a protective potential that is appropriate to the hazardous substance. For this purpose, calculations can be used with the GIS-based SULFIDUS program, which calculates the sulfide development and can represent a wide variety of load cases. Two examples show how modern exhaust air treatment plants can be designed for drainage systems in order to meet the challenges posed by hydrogen sulfide in a targeted manner.
