The first session of the Administrative Committee of the European Agreement concerning the International Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Inland Waterway (ADN) took place in Geneva this past June 19. The meeting was chaired by Helmut Rein (Germany) with Mr B Birklhuber (Austria) as vice-chairman. It was attended by representatives from five contracting parties -Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands and the Russian Federation - and, as observers, Croatia, Switzerland, the European Commission, Danube Commission and Central Commission for the Navigation of the Rhine (CCNR).
